Bloggers Influence Purchases More Than Celebrities
Have you wondered why you may want to use a blog as part of your social media campaigns or why social media for business really makes a difference? Blogs can really make a difference in your social media strategy. The attached article from Fox News, “Bloggers Influence More Than Celebrities” offers some insight into the power behind blogs. A recent study from BlogHer 2011 Social Media Matters collected data on social media users. “According to the study, 78 percent of the female American adult populations are active social media users, and of those, nearly twice as many (20 percent) are motivated to consider products promoted by or with a blogger they know, than they are by promotions featuring a celebrity (12 percent).” If you haven’t added a blog to your social media strategies, this study is definitely proof that it is time to capitalize on the benefit.
