Social Media Marketing: Solve Problems & Create Opportunites

I used to go to training events, seminars and conferences and usually made a point to sit up near the front.  I quit doing that.

Now, when I attend events where different people are presenting on different topics simultaneously in different rooms, I choose the one that sounds most interesting and select a seat in the back of the room.  Why?  Because I vote with my feet.

If an expert presenter is boring or shares information I already know, then I want to get out of there as soon as possible.  My time is too important to waste.

I used to feel uncomfortable because I didn’t want to be rude or disruptive if I wanted to leave. I didn’t want to be stuck either.

When talking about online marketing, email marketing, video marketing, article marketing, and social media marketing, in a virtual sense, the people you want to reach are all sitting at the back of the room.  They can leave your site, blog, video, podcast or webinar without being noticed or causing offense.

They aren’t required to stay. That means that you better share good ideas and knowledge that helps them solve problems or creates opportunities and do it in an interesting way.
