Social Media Consultants Reveal: The 3 Rules of Content

If your Internet marketing and social media marketing content fails to accomplish one of several things,  then you might repel the audience you want to attract.  It doesn’t matter if you are video marketing, article marketing, Facebook marketing, Twitter marketing or blog marketing, because the same rules apply.

I was having a conversation with Russ Henneberry, who is a social media strategist in St. Louis, Missouri.  He is very engaged in trends related to online marketing and email marketing and has emerged as a thought leader I respect very much.

He claims that effective online marketing content must provide value in at least one of three ways.  Ask yourself these three questions before you post.

Does your content educate people?

Does your content entertain people?

Does your content inspire people?

If not, then you may be wasting your time.  The more you educate, entertain and inspire people who represent your ideal audience, the better.
